What is Family Cover?
Family Cover is designed to provide a lump sum payout for funeral costs and other associated expenses when a member of the family dies. Although this cover is for the principal member, it can optionally extend to their spouse, children, parents and parents-in-law as well.
As an employer you are able to offer your employees a benefit that:
- Provides for funeral and other related expenses on the death of the principal member, their spouse(s), parents, parents-in-law and children
- Is payable to the principal member or surviving family
- Is a fixed monetary amount, paid as a lump sum
- Includes an option for cover to continue on disability of the principal member
