What is Disability Cover?
GREENLIGHT Comprehensive Disability Benefit is a policy that pays out a lump sum if your illness or injury is permanent and you cannot do your job or normal day-to-day activities.
We also offer a Temporary Income Benefit (for when you are ill or injured and unable to work for a short period of time), Functional Impairment Benefit (cover for if you become disabled to the point that you need a caregiver because you are unable to do things for yourself) and Disability Income Benefit (monthly income which you can use to replace any lost income while you cannot work or do normal day-to-day activities).

- The amount of cover you can buy varies from N$100 000 to N$30 million lump sum
- You choose to protect your income for your entire life (whole-life cover) or for a specific period (term cover)
- If you choose Disability Income Benefit you can choose cover of up to N$50 000 per month (whole life) or N$150 000 (term cover)
- Available to HIV positive customers
- Depending on your choice of plan temporary or permanent severe illness or injury is covered

It pays you a monthly income which you can use to replace any lost income while you cannot work or do normal day-to-day activities for up to 48 months.
It will pay you a lump sum if your illness or injury is permanent and you cannot do your normal day-to-day activities. The money can be used on related expenses such as caregiver or rehabilitation costs.
Functional Impairment will pay a partial amount if you have a less severe medical problem that causes some loss of bodily function and interferes with one or more day-to-day activities such as your ability to eat, bath and get dressed on your own.
The maternity benefit is covered under Disability Income Benefit.
